Abdou Cissé
Abdou Cissé is a BAFTA-nominated filmmaker from South London. His debut short, SERIOUS TINGZ, extended far beyond the festival circuit. Spotlighted by ITV News, Tate Modern, and National Prison Radio; where it reached over 90,000 prisoners across the UK. His 2024 BAFTA-nominated and BIFA-winning short, FESTIVAL OF SLAPS, resulting in him being named one of Screen International’s 2024 Stars of Tomorrow.
In television, Abdou made his directorial debut as lead director on the BBC series GRIME KIDS (written by Theresa Ikoko), and most recently directed the closing Season 2 episodes of A24 & the BBC’s award-winning DREAMING WHILST BLACK.
Amy Neil
Amy is a BAFTA nominated writer and director based between London and Edinburgh. With an eye for detail and a strong visual style, her ability to create 'squirm-worthy' thriller sequences, elicit 'exquisite performances' and 'rewind-able' action scenes have brought her both personal praise and critical acclaim. She most recently directed NETFLIX's political thriller HOSTAGE, starring Julie Delpy and Suranne Jones.
Amy's previous TV credits include critically acclaimed thriller THE CONTROL ROOM for BBC 1/ Hartswood Films, action thriller HANNA for Working Title Television /Amazon/NBC and BBC's TRUST ME with Jodie Whittaker.
Amy is drawn to genre with a specific interest in thrillers, action, psychological horror and the female grotesque. She has several TV shows in development alongside her debut feature film, AFTER MARTHA, a psychological horror with Creative Scotland/BFI.
Darcia Martin
Darcia is a British female filmmaker of Jamaican/Ghanaian heritage. She graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London and started her directing career making documentaries for the BBC before moving into scripted content with children’s drama.
Darcia is known for her work on Call the Midwife and Riches, a critical and ratings success particularly in America, Nigeria and Britain. Three Little Birds has been released in the United States. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story on which she was 2nd Unit director has enjoyed worldwide acclaim.
Darcia’s new dystopian short film Indignitas stars Mark Addy (Game of Thrones) and Bethany Antonia (House of the Dragon) with specially composed music by Felix Buxton (Basement Jaxx). This futuristic film explores a world in which government funded assisted dying is used to solve an economic crisis. It has been selected for the Oscar qualifying UrbanWorld Film Festival in New York.
Ian Aryeh
Ian Aryeh is an award-winning director known for his vibrant visual style, sharp storytelling, and instinct for authentic, emotionally charged performances. Blending cinematic flair with a grounded sense of character, his work spans drama, comedy, and genre — from Death in Paradise and Grime Kids (BBC) to Endeavour and McDonald & Dodds (ITV), and In The Long Run (Sky), produced by and starring Idris Elba. A graduate of the National Film and Television School, Ian was named a Broadcast Hotshot Director and one of Channel 4’s Directors to Watch. His African heritage and London roots bring a rhythmic energy and cultural richness to his storytelling, balancing wit, humanity, and visual boldness. Alongside acclaimed projects such as Holier Than Thou and Little Darlings, Ian has directed campaigns for Google and Jose Cuervo, and the viral phenomenon The Wembley Cup, amassing over 120 million views.
Nadira Amrani
Nadira Amrani is a British-Algerian film and TV director and a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree (2022). She has directed acclaimed commercial work for brands including Nike, Adidas, Oppo, i-D, and Hugo Boss, as well as music videos for rising UK artists. Nadira’s debut short film Fly (Film London Calling) premiered at the BFI Film Festival in 2018. She has since directed multiple TV shows including; single drama Mincemeat (Channel 4’s BAFTA-nominated On the Edge series), Consent (Firebird/Channel 4), three episodes of Witch drama show Domino Day (BBC), and an episode of RTS winning superhero comedy series Extraordinary (Disney+ / Sid Gentle). With her bold visual style and focus on underrepresented voices, Nadira continues to develop innovative film and TV work, including her debut feature currently in development.
