Humphrey Woollard

Originally from Colchester, Essex, I grew up with a strong interest in storytelling, which led me to write, produce, and direct an award-winning project as well as a series of other short films. Through these experiences, I acquired a passion for the difficulty and precision of organising productions. I'm excited to expand my skills at NFTS, with the goal of leading high-end film and television productions that attract worldwide audiences. My ambition is to create compelling, character-driven dramas that explores the complexities of human nature and resonates across cultures, working with a variety of voices to push creative boundaries and inspire lasting impact. My dream is to craft films where silence speaks volumes, where every shot is a window into the soul, where the lack of words invites the audience to feel, to interpret, to connect on a visceral level. This approach isn't just about filmmaking; it's about capturing the unspoken depths of human experience, where the most profound truths often lie in what is not said.

Suyeon Kang

Through my experience with runner and production assistant roles on commercials for brands including Puma, short films, and working as a production interpreter touring with K-pop groups such as ITZY, Stray Kids, and Aespa, I’ve grown to appreciate what it takes to coordinate complex projects and fell in love with the thrill of being on set. Since starting at the NFTS, I’ve already gained hands-on experience across fiction, documentary, animation, and TV productions, and I’m currently working on an Amazon Prime short film. I can’t wait to put my new skills to the test and channel them into my dream of working on feature films and high-end television, all with the support of the Warner Bros. Discovery Access Scholarship.
