WBD Access x Food Network: Behind the Lens

The 2025 WBD Access x Food Network: Behind the Lens Program aims to identify high-performing camera operators and camera assistants who aspire to work in food media but have faced barriers breaking into lifestyle programming.  

Candidates will receive training, gain exposure to technical skills unique to food programming, and be equipped with leadership skills. 

Shortlisted applicants will interview January/February 2025. All applicants will receive a status update by March 2025.

PROGRAM CRITERIA

To be eligible, applicants:

  • Must be currently working as a camera operator outside of food programming or camera assistant with at least 1-3 years of experience
  • Must have at least 3 Unscripted Television credits as a camera operator or camera assistant
  • Must have a desire to work in food media
  • Must have experience operating Sony FX9 (or similar)
  • Must be able to work in the US, are 18 years or older, and be able to work as a NYC local

PROGRAM TIMELINE

Shortlisted applicants will interview January/February 2025. All applicants will receive a status update by March 2025.
