CREATING PATHWAYS FOR TALENTED UNDERREPRESENTED ACTORS

A new talent training program for aspiring actors looking for professional development and resources.

Warner Bros. Discovery Access Talent Spotlight Program

The WBD Access Talent Spotlight was created to provide undiscovered and underrepresented actors, particularly focused on people with disabilities, Indigenous, MENA, and Trans communities, an opportunity to receive coaching and exposure. Selected participants will complete the program with training from notable acting coaches and will be given the opportunity to present to Warner Bros. Discovery talent and casting executives. The program, which will be approximately a weeklong, will take place in Los Angeles (in person) from April 3-9, 2022, with a cohort of up to 20 selected participants who will attend intensive workshops, training sessions, panels, and presentations. They will have professional headshots taken and be coached by trusted acting coaches to prepare scenes for their presentations. Live “call backs” sessions will take place with Warner Bros. Discovery executives in the audience, and final presentations will be taped and shared with top industry casting directors and producers. The cast will potentially have an opportunity to meet with Warner Bros. Discovery executives from different networks to get feedback and further mentoring.

ABOUT THIS AUDITION: Actors will prepare a one-minute, self-taped monologue to be submitted through Eco Cast. A direct link to EcoCast will be provided only upon completion of Part One of the application, using the link below (click on “Apply to the Program”). If selected, actors will be invited to tape a longer scene.
